Inner tubes with sealent for bicycles?
they call it puncture prevention.. well how useful are they really and isn’t it rather damaging if a metal peice has peirced the tire and the tube and the sealent prevents the loss of air pressure which inturn gives no clue to the rider of a unwanted and potentially damaging piece of metal being stuck to the tire which could further cause large split/gash in the tire? what do you think. i just wanted to buy a few spare tubes and came across these btwin puncture prevention inner tubes on decathlon so i just wanted to know are they useful.. it costs me a dollar more than the ordinary stock tubes(which is a brand called “Innova” on my entry level Hybrid bike from a Indian company) that i got with my bike.
i will be using these spare for touring.
Sealants & liquid goo or slime does NOT work – period. It can & will throw the tire off balance. It can & will gunk up the valve stem internally, making it impossible to add air. It voids the warranty of most tire manufacturers. Enough said?
